One thing I will say, though, Stephen-is that Namadeva does recommend that if you are experiencing the irritability, the anger.and the suicidal thoughts.to ease up on the discipline immediately! In what you described, it sounds like you moved through this-but I feel that I must honor what Namadeva has said about this type of experience. Richard, I agree, Mother Kali is a zillion percent Love.just be prepared for change when you call upon her.
Kali does act with swiftness-and a sharp, compassionate sword to cut thru ego attachments. So, when you dial up Kali's number (mantrically, of course) be prepared for this. Best regards, StephenĪnother salient point about Kali is that she takes the most direct route to address the matter at hand without regard to ego. But I really want myself to change for the better, and hopefully, one day, my kundalini energy (Lalita and/or Kali) will awaken. I have stopped this mantra and began the long Kali mantra found in Shakti Mantras (crazy I know).
Just 3-4 months back, I was living an ignorant but blissful life as a college student, going out to bars with my friends, etc. I feel like I'm experiencing a mid-life crisis, but I'm only 22! I don't know who I am or what my purpose in life is. The past months with me chanting the Lalita mantra really forced myself to look at just who I am. Deep down, I knew that some of my karma was being cleared, and I was happy that it was doing so. This high would last maybe a few hours before I returned to my normal self. There were, however, times when I felt invincible and happy. I would also become very sleepy and fatigued randomly as well, even with 3 cups of coffee. Sometimes, random thoughts from childhood came up, and I would cry quietly to myself (at work!) I had random thoughts of suicide, thinking how easy it would be to just start over in the next life. I became angry and agitated at random times. It will be intense, possibly unnerving, probably uncomfortable,Ĭertainly disruptive to one or more aspects of your mundane life, andĪlso very effective in a short amount of time.
Because it can work quickly, it may also cause some turmoil in your daily life. The results of the discipline were very similar to how Thomas described the long Kali mantra in Shakti Mantras: "If you decide to work with this mantra, please have extra patience with yourself. Anyway, the result of my Lalita discipline threw me into an emotional upheaval. I may be over-intellectualizing this, but I was a little surprised because I know our Kundalini energy originates from the Muladhara chakra (which is located by the genital area). Greetings everybody, After chanting the 16 syllable Lalita mantra for a while (almost 40 days), I noticed that my lower back of the spine (and not by the genital area) would pulsate with energy.
